About Me

My photo
The Rev Deborah Magdalene
Wappingers Falls, NY, United States
I was ordained priest on Sept 5, 2009. I grew up in southern California, raised 2 children in the Pacific Northwest (Crescent City, CA and Fieldbrook,CA), and, for ten years, was a speech pathologist in California and Athens, GA. My son and daughter-in-law live in Eureka, CA and my daughter and son-in-law, plus 2 grandchildren live in Athens, GA. I was a religious sister in the Episcopal Order of St Helena for 9 years, and Priest Associate at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Augusta, GA for 2 years. In March, 2012 I accepted a call to be the Priest-in-Charge of Zion Episcopal Church, Wappingers Falls, NY. My first Sunday was April 22, 2012. On November 16, 2014 I was installed as the full-time Rector of Zion Episcopal Church with The Rt. Rev. Andrew Dietsche officiating. The picture is of my father, Dr. James G. Rogers standing with me on the day of my ordination, September 5, 2009. He died October 5, 2016. May he rest in peace, and rise in glory!
